Job Responsibilities: Diagnosis and referral services for appropriate psychiatric intervention, Psychological counselling at individual and group level for students with emotional and /or other problems.Training and guiding the team of student volunteers associated with counseling service,To develop and execute appropriate follow up procedure for monitoring progress.To develop a standard operating procedure (SOP) to ensure a smooth operation of counseling activity including crisis management.To organize support services such as tutoring, peer advising and study groups.Design and conduct of regular workshop addressing a variety of subjects such as stress management, self esteem, test anxiety, managing mood swings, enhancing study skills.To carryout research and survey related to issues regarding mental health in academic institution.In general, it is a must for the counsellor to be ‘on call’ always.
