IITDM Kanchipuram-Technician/Accountant/Assistant Employment
IIT Madras has been entrusted with the responsibility of setting up this Institute. Classes will be conducted in the IIT Madras campus till Institute’s facilities are created. Strong industry interface and close cooperation with other academic and research institutions will be the key features of this Institute. This Institute will give emphasis on synthesis, creativity, hands-on experience, innovation, communication and entrepreneurship. These qualities along with basic knowledge ofdesign and manufacturing technologies will form the ethos of education at this Institute.
Applications in the prescribed format are invited from suitable Indian Nationals for the following posts:
Junior Technician : 3 Posts (Unreserved)
Pay Band-1 : Rs.5200-20200 with grade pay of Rs.2,000/-
Area 1 : Electrical and Electronics
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering of three years duration Knowledge of computer app.
Desirable : Familiarity with electrical drives, testing, validation etc., and handling lab classes for students
Area 2 : Mechanical
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of three years duration or ITI (course of 12 months duration after completion of SSLC) in Machinist or Fitter Trade with minimum of 5 years relevant experience and Knowledge of computer applications.
Desirable : Familiarity with the operation of different workshop machines, and experience in handling lab classes for students
Area 3 – Physics
Bachelor’s degree in Physics. Knowledge of computer applications.
Desirable : Familiarity with Physics laboratory experiments and handling lab classes for students
Junior Accountant : 1 Post (Unreserved)
Pay Band-1 : Rs. 5200-20200 with grade pay of Rs.2,400/-
B.Com with 2 years relevant experience and knowledge of accounting software
Junior Assistant : 4 Posts (UR-3; OBC-1)
Pay Band-1 : Rs. 5200-20200 with grade pay of Rs.2,000/-
Bachelor’s Degree with knowledge of computer office applications
Upper Age Limit (as on the closing date of receipt of applications) : 27 years
Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
