Structural Engineering Research Centre(SERC), Chennai, India is one of the national laboratories under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), India. SERC has built-up excellent facilities and expertise for the analysis, design and testing of structures and structural components. Services of SERC are being extensively used by the Central and State Governments and public and private sector undertakings. Scientists of SERC serve on many national and international committees and the Centre is recognised at the national and international levels as a leading research institution in the field of structural engineering. SERC has recently been certified as ISO:9001 quality institution.

Scientist Gr. IV (2) : 02 Posts (UR)
Pay : PB-3 + GP Rs. 6600 (T.E. Rs. 45384/-)
AGE : Not exceeding 35 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification and Experience :
First class or equivalent CGPA B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or recognized equivalent qualification with 3 years experience
OR
First Class or equivalent CGPA M.Tech./M.E. in Structural Engineering or recognized equivalent qualification with 2 years experience.
OR
Ph.D in Structural Engineering
Scientist Gr. IV (1) : 02 Posts (ST)
Pay : PB-3 + GP Rs. 5400 (T.E. Rs. 37034/-)
AGE : Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Tribe and 35 years for general category as on the last date for receipt of applications .
Upper age limit for persons with disabilities shall be relaxable by 5 years (i.e. 45 years for Scheduled Tribe and 40 years for general category)
Educational Qualification :
First class or equivalent CGPA B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or recognized equivalent qualification

Educational Qualifications and Experience : First class Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering of 3 years full time duration or its equivalent with 9 years experience in the relevant field
OR
First Class B.E./ B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or its equivalent with 6 years experience in the relevant field.
Tech. Asst. Gr.III(1) : 02 Posts (UR-1, OBC-1)
Pay : PB-2 + GP Rs. 4200 (T.E. Rs. 23227/-)
AGE : Not exceeding 28 years for general category and 31 years for Other Backward Classes as on the last date for receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification sand Experience : First Class Diploma in Computer Engineering of 3 years full time duration or its equivalent
Knowledge of RDBMS and related packages will be preferred.
Security Assistant : 01 Post (UR)

AGE : Not exceeding 28 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification & experience : Junior Commissioned Officer in Army or other paramilitary forces with five years experience in organizing and supervising security arrangements. Preferably, trained in fire fighting equipments. Knowledge of local language, English & Hindi desirable.
