West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has come into effect from 01.04.2007 after restructuring of erstwhile West Bengal State Electricity Board in compliance of Electricity Act 2003.WBSEDCL is a major power utility of the state with consumer strength over 68 lakhs. 5 zones, 17 circles, 47 distribution divisions and 467 electric supply offices make up the backbone to the power distribution system of the state .
WBSEDCL and WBSETCL invites application from Indian Nationals to fill up the following posts immediately :
Special Operating Assistant : 161 posts in WBSETCL
Pay Scale : Rs.6300-20200 (initial pay Rs.9000) grade pay Rs.4400
Qualification : Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Junior Operator Technician cum Technical Assistant : 300 posts in WBSEDCL
Pay Scale : Rs.6300-20200 grade pay Rs.2600
Qualification : Madhyamic with ITI certificate in Electrician/ Wireman/ Electronic Mechanic (2 years) from ITI
Age limit : 27 years as on 01/01/2010. Age is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Reservation : Reservation of post for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped candidates will be as per govt. rules in force.
