The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), which is declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, was set up under Department of Space, Goverment of India, and offers undergraduates B Tech programme in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering and Physical Sciences. IIST also offers post graduate and doctoral programmes to meet the requirements of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). In addition to the regular curriculum, the courses will have special modules tailored to space technology and space science. IIST focuses on high-end research activities with the country’s space programmes and related innovative ventures.

Assistant Professor in
- Microwave Components and Circuits
- Computer Network, Protocol
- Power Electronics
- Inertial System and Instrumentation
- Image Processing/ Pattern Recognition/ Computer Vision
Qualification : B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent Degree in Electronics in First Class & M.E./ M.Tech in First Class and PhD in the relevant areas with significant research contribution.
Scientist/ Engineer ‘SE’ In
Computer System Administrator-cum-Manager
Qualification : B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent Degree in Electronics/ ECE/CSE in First Class with 8 years experience as a System/ Network Administrator in a large Computer Facility. OR M.E./ M.Tech in CSE First Class with 6 years experience as above.
Desirable : CCNA & RHCE Certificates.
Reader (ON CONTRACT) In
Functional Analysis and Numerical Analysis
Qualification : M.Sc. in Mathematics in First Class with a minimum aggregate of 65% or 6.5 CGPA and PhD in Mathematics (Those who submitted the Thesis can also apply) Soft Computer, Genetic Algorithm, Machine Learning, Image Processing and Fuzzy Logic
Qualification : M.Sc. in Mathematics in First Class with a minimum aggregate of 65% or 6.5 CGPA and PhD in Mathematics OR B.Tech in Computer Science in First Class with a minimum aggregate of 65% or 6.5 CGPA and PhD in Computer Science (Those who submitted the Thesis can also apply)
