Union Public Service Commission UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 18/03/2010 (25/03/2010 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format.
Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I (Engineering) : 10 posts in Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence
Qualification : Degree in Automobile or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Four years’ practical experience in Production / Development / Quality Assurance in the relevant field of Vehicles/Vehicle Components, Steam/Gas Turbines, AC/RO Plants, Hydraulic equipments. Desirable :
- Master’s Degree in Automobile or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language
Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I (Gentex) : 01 post in in Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence
Qualifications : Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Four years’ practical experience in Production/Development/Quality Assurance in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable :
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language
Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I (Armament) : 05 posts in Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence
Qualification : Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience : Four years’ practical experience in Production/Development/Quality Assurance in the relevant field.
Desirable :
- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language.
Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I (Electronics) : 05 posts in Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Qualification : Defence Production, Ministry of Defence
B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/Communication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Four years’ practical experience in Production/Development/Quality Assurance in Electronics and Communication equipments.
Desirable :
- Master Degree in Electronics/Communication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language.
Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Armament) : 02 posts in Directorate General of Quality Assurance, Department of Qualification : Defence Production, Ministry of Defence
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Production/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. Experience : Two years’ practical experience in Production/Development/Quality Assurance in the relevant field.
Desirable :
- Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language
Deputy Director (Chemistry) : 01 post in Central Forensic Science Laboratories, Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs
Qualification : Master’s degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Ten years’ experience of analytical method and research therein in the relevant field out of which at least three years’ experience should be in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
Desirable :
- Doctorate degree in science in the relevant discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
Deputy Director (Physics) : 02 posts in Central Forensic Science Laboratories, Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs
Qualification : Master’s degree in Physics/Biophysics/Forensic Science with Physics as one of the subject at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Ten years’ experience of analytical method and research therein in the relevant field out of which at least three years’ experience should be in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
Senior Scientific Officer Gr.II (Toxicology) : 01 post in Central Forensic Science Laboratories, Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs
Qualification : Master’s degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Pharmacy / Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Three years’ experience of analytical methods and research in the field of Toxicology.
Desirable :
- Experience of working in a Forensic Science laboratory.
Superintendent (Legal) : 01 post in Legislative Department, Ministry of Law & Justice
Qualification :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Should have four years’ experience as an officer of the State Judicial Service OR Should have four years’ experience in the Legal Department of a State OR Should be a Central Government Servant who has four years’ experience in legal affairs OR should be a qualified legal practitioner.
NOTE – I : In computing the period which a person has held any office in the State Judicial Service or in the legal Department of a State or has been a Central Government servant having experience in legal affairs, there shall be included any period during which he has held any of the other aforesaid offices or any period during which he had been a legal practitioner.
NOTE –II : In computing the period during which a person has been a qualified legal practitioner, there shall be included any period during which he has held any office in the State Judicial Service or in the Legal Department of a State or has been a Central Government having experience in legal affairs.
NOTE –III : The term “Qualified Legal Practitioner” in relation to this clause means an advocate or a pleader who has practiced as such for four years.
Assistant Director Gr.I (Weaving) : 01 post in Office of Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles
Qualification : Degree in Textile Technology from a recognized University or Institution or equivalent. OR Diploma in Handloom Technology of a recognized Institution or equivalent.
Experience : Three years’ practical experience (five years’ in the case of Diploma holders in Handloom Technology) in a Textile Weaving or production establishment or Institute out of which at least one year should have been in Handlooms
Assistant Director (Official Language) : 02 posts in Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)
Qualification : Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the Degree level. OR Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the Degree level. OR Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree level. OR Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a subject at the Degree level. OR Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi Medium and English as subject at the Degree level.
Experience : Five years’ experience of Terminological work in Hindi and/or translation work from English to Hindi or Vice-versa, preferably of technical or Scientific Literature. OR Five years’ experience of Teaching, Research, Writing or Journalism in Hindi.
Desirable :
- Knowledge at the level of Matriculation of one of the languages other than Hindi, mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
- Two years’ Administrative experience including experience of organising Hindi Classes or Workshops.
