The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) & West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) two wholly owned profit-making Government of West Bengal Enterprises, engaged in the business of Hydel Generation, Power Distribution and Transmission throughout the state of West Bengal with an Annual Turnover of around Rs. 8000 crore and Total Employee strength of about 23000, invite applications from Indian Nationals to recruit 530 Nos of :
Assistant : 530 posts (WBSEDCL-500, WBSETCL-30)
Pay Scale : Rs.6300-20200 grade pay Rs.2600
Qualification :
- Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or Graduation in any University or Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in HS level AND Must have passed certificate course/any other courses on computer from any of the Institute indicated below: (i) ‘O’ Level Course of DOECC Society, Govt. of India or, (ii) One Year course in Computer Application from any Institute recognised by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or, (iii) One year diploma course in Modern Office Practice and management from any Institute recognised by WB State Council of Technical Education or, (iv) Course of Computer Operation and Programming Assistant (Basic Skill) from Regional Vocational Training Institute, Director General of Employment & Training, Govt. of India or, (v) Secretarial practices (Basic Skill and / or Advanced Skill) from Regional Vocational Training Institute, Director General of Employment & Training, Govt. of India or, (vi) Passed 12th standard in vocational stream from State Council of Vocational Training, Govt. of West Bengal with any of the following combination : (a) Computer fundamentals and Programming and Computer Assembly and Maintenance (b) IT enabled services and Computer fundamentals and Programming or,
- 3 year full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate or, (b) Bachelor Degree in Science with honours in Statistics from a recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate or, (c) Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application/Computer Science as a Pass Subject with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University or, (d) Candidates having 50% marks in H.S. with 3 year full time degree at item (a) or (b) or (c) above may also apply.
Other Facilities : In addition to Basic Pay & G.P., D.A., HRA, Medical Allowance, Electricity Allowance, Hill Compensatory Allowance, Project Allowance (depending on the place of posting) LTC/HTC, CPF, Gratuity, Benefits for Indoor treatment in leading hospital for Self & Dependants, Leave Encashment, Incentives, House building loans as per the Rules of the Company are admissible. They are also eligible to get time bound promotion to the next higher pay scales based on their performance.
Age limit : 27 years as on 01/01/2010. Age is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
