Recruitment of Probationary Officers 2010-11.
Syndicate Bank, a Premier Nationalised Bank, invites applications from Indian citizens for recruitment of Probationary Officers.
Post: Probationary Officers
Scale: JMGS – I
Number of Vacancies: Total – 1000
Scale of Pay: Rs.10000-470/6-12820-500/3-14320-560/7-18240 (The pay scale & other allowances are under revision in terms of industry level settlement dated 27.04.2010)
EMOLUMENTS: At present, initial monthly emoluments of Junior Management Grade Scale I Officers, including DA, HRA, CCA, are approximately Rs. 18000/- in a Metropolitan Centre. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting.
In addition, Quarters facility (in lieu of HRA) for Officers, Conveyance, Medical Aid, LFC and retirement benefits are admissible as per the rules of the Bank.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Pass in graduation in any discipline with 55% or more marks in aggregate from a recognized University in India (50% or more in the case of SC/ST/PWD Candidates).
OR
Degrees which are considered equivalent to graduation i.e. Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (ICWA), Company Secretary (CS) as also qualifications in Management like PGDBM (Two years course from a reputed University) with 55% or more marks in aggregate (50% or more in the case of SC/ST/PWD).
Essential Requirement: Proficiency in Computers is essential.
(Candidates who have studied Computer Application as one of the subjects at Graduation/Post Graduation level are deemed to have working knowledge in Computers. For such candidates no separate computer certificate course is necessary)
AGE LIMIT : 21-30years

Is the way for preparing for this exam is different than other bank po exams notified earlier. I have heard that GK have got more importance in syndicate banks exam….
