CENTRE ON STUDIES IN SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB

1. Director – 1 (Pay scale Rs. 37400–67000+10000 AGP)
Qualifications:
A. (i) An Eminent scholar or Senior Professor of Sikh Studies with Ph.D. in the allied discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books/research papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience in University/College, administrative and research experience at university level including guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Significant achievements in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
(iv) A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulation.
Or
B. An outstanding scholar of Sikh Studies with established reputation in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the relevant discipline, to be substantiated
by credentials.

2.Professors – 6 (Pay scale Rs. 37400–67000+10000 AGP) — (Studies on Interfaith -1, Scriptural Studies – Doctrinal Aspects -1, Study of Musicology-1, Hermeneutics and Linguistics-1, Social and Cultural Studies-1, Scriptural Translations -1)
Qualifications:
A (i) An Eminent scholar or Senior Professor of Sikh Studies with Ph.D. in the allied discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books/research papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience at University/College, and experience in research at the university level including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

An outstanding scholar in the field of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies with established reputation who has made significant contribution to the studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib may apply with their proposed research work to be pursued during their tenure.

4.J.R.F/Project Fellows- 18 (3 each in the above divisions at Serial No. 2) (NET passed Rs. 12000/- PM Fixed, without NET salary according to the university rules. Project Fellows Rs. 8000/- PM Fixed)
Qualifications:
(a) For J.R.F. Master’s degree with 55% Marks in the fields of Religious Studies, History, Philosophy, Sikh Studies, Punjabi etc. with aptitude in Sikh History, Sikh Religion, Sikh Literature & Sikh Philosophy .
(b) For Project Fellows Master’s degrees with 55% Marks in the field of Religious Studies, History, Philosophy, Sikh Studies, Punjabi etc. with aptitude in Sikh History, Sikh Religion, Sikh Literature & Sikh Philosophy.
Qualifications:
